Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, location, or other query entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Panola County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy practices govern its receipt and processing of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
Email and contact-form messages are retained as needed to answer the sender. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine logs and measurement services may receive technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- the visitor's internet protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device category and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring page or site, when supplied; and
- the date and time of the request.
Cookie Controls
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site and may support site or advertising functions. A browser can reject or delete cookies. Blocking them may cause some features to work differently.
How Information Is Used
- operate the service and maintain reasonable speed;
- send a search request to the selected partner tool;
- understand which Panola County release pages visitors find useful;
- detect and correct technical faults; and
- display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
External Sites and Advertising
Links may lead to Panola County jail and court records, sheriff or TDCJ pages, federal locators, and outside search tools. Each destination controls its own data and privacy policy after a visitor clicks through. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code chapter 552, governs access requests to Texas government bodies. It does not make this private site's handling of visitor data a government-record process.
Some advertising providers may use their own technology to observe activity across multiple sites and tailor advertisements. That processing occurs in the provider's systems, not in systems controlled by Panola County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be available to:
- search partners that process a visitor's query;
- analytics vendors that measure site use;
- advertising networks serving ads; and
- law enforcement or another government authority acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard safeguards are used to protect information under our control. No internet connection, storage service, or website can be promised as breach-proof. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, a visitor may:
- ask for a copy of personal data we hold;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- ask that personal information be erased; or
- object to or opt out of certain processing.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. An updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
